Do you have pets? I grew up on a farm so there were always dogs and cats around (along with pigs, cows, chickens and mules). But they were always outside animals. It was only when we lived in an apartment in NYC that we had house pets. The odd canine couple there consisted of Holmes (a border collie mix) and Petey (Italian greyhound) who were with us for many years, eventually moving to Pfafftown with us. They had an active city life (popcorn toss parties in the afternoon with neighbor Sparky and frequent trips to the country.) They were great dogs and lived to see old age (almost 18 and 13 respectively).
Now we have Lulu & Mac, who have become very good friends. They’re great company and add a lot to our lives. Here’s Dr. Weil’s little video about his life with dogs – it pretty much sums up how I feel about our little pack.
