Community Supported Agriculture
Now is a good time to investigate community supported agriculture (CSA) in your area. These are becoming quite popular in most areas of the country and it’s a great way to enjoy fresh, local produce and support your farmer friends and neighbors. If you have children, it’s also a great way to expose them to fresh food, where it comes from and how it is grown. And they’ll get to meet the farmers.
This link may be helpful in locating CSA’s in your area or you can contact the County Agricultural Extension Office close by and they can probably give you information. Then take a field trip to check them out and see what you like and start looking for good recipes for all that good produce that you will be enjoying this spring, summer and fall.
